Jeb Bush's lackluster campaign sparks GOP grumblings: 'If you want to lose the general election, nominate Jeb'.

Jeb Bush could be the letdown of the Republican primary if he doesn't resuscitate his campaign posthaste. Sunday saw the former Florida governor slide to fifth place in the race behind Trump, Carson, Rubio, and Fiorina, with only 7 percent in a national NBC/Wall Street Journal poll. His numbers are similarly unexciting in Iowa and New Hampshire, both of which have early February contests.

"What I hear everywhere when you say Jeb's name is, 'If you want to lose the general election, nominate Jeb,'" one fundraiser, speaking under anonymity, told The Washington Post.

'If you want to lose the general election, nominate Jeb'.

That seems like the plan. If the Republicans control everything, those crazy conservatives might actually get something passed.

Bush is this election season’s Jon Huntsman, but with a lot more money.

All of those pledges to sit home if he’s nominated must be rolling into the RNC.

This has nothing to do with how I feel about Jeb or who I support. But it seems pretty obvious that Jeb doesn’t have “the fire in the belly”. He’s campaigning by the numbers.

The RNC/GOP dod not care if they lose.
Their purpose is to prevent anyone from being elected who would stop The Cheap Labor Express.

Jeb's candidacy has become a direct insult to every Constitutional Conservative who has voted Republican because the party elite pretended to be "the lesser of two evils". That they would even consider tricking the nomination to him is reprehensible.

Every poll supports it. The party faithful not only don't agree with Jeb, we can't stand him personally.

If Jeb is the candidate, I will show up to vote for members of Congress who would oppose him, but I won’t vote for Jeb..period.

It's been a long time since the GOP nominated a juggernaut. Somebody who can take a conservative message to the masses and garner support across the entire political spectrum. We last saw that with Ronald Reagan and he brought tens of millions of Democrats and Independents into the GOP fold.

This is how landslides are made.

Jebbie Bush is not that guy!

Donald Trump? He could very well be that guy. He just needs to polish some rough edges and based on what I saw this morning when he rolled out his tax plan, he's making progress.

Ted Cruz? I would love for him to be president. But I don't see a path for him at this time. He's going to have to get out of single digits very soon. He resonates well with conservatives who are paying attention. But he has not yet broadened his appeal enough.

We can't afford to lose this election.

Right now, looks like Trump has the best chance to win us the general election. He's not the perfect conservative but he's much better than anybody the Democrats have and aside from Cruz, he's better than the candidates on the Republican side as well.

IF he'd quit campaigning like he wants to be president of Mexico he might do a little better......
Maybe not a lot....
Though.....

¡Yeb! doesn’t want to be President of Mexico.

It’s much worse than that.

He wants to turn the USA into North Mexico.

FWIW, if you choose not to vote for someone, show up and vote for a third party candidate who probably won’t win. If you vote write in it won’t be counted and who knows what would happen with the blank space. If you leave it blank, it’s open to mischief. And if you don’t vote, who knows that someone won’t find a way to vote for you?

Nevertheless, Jeb's staffers are in search of a campaign defibrillator: "I think if people get to know Jeb and they give him a chance, he's going to be tough to beat,” Republican strategist Henry Barbour said. "But they don't know him yet."

Mister Barbour has it precisely, and completely wrong.

We, the GOP grass-root constituents DO know Jeb.

And what we know begins, (and does not end) with...

...(now everyone, say it with me...)

Jeb's support for Amnesty for illegal aliens!

A No-amnesty, scrupulously-secure-border candidate will win our party's nomination.

And, that is that.

.

Sorry I didn't include the </sarcasm> tag but I didn't think it would be needed in this case.

Romney is going to get back in, and there will be a mass exodus of GOPe money in that direction.

Just my opinion.

Aim for 9% Jeb!

Then even a third party candidate can beat him.

We don't need a Republican McGovern defeat.
There are LOTS of much better candidates running for the R candidate.

Flush Jeb. He's like a 25 year old horse with a swayback and three sore feet in the Kentucky derby.
