It’s still a sight to see, vaguely unsettling. No wonder people attributed all manner of ill to it.

Darkening on the left side first and moving across toward the right....

Agreed, beautiful but scary.

I bet when it really starts changing it’ll have moved to a place where I can’t look at it.

Spotty clouds here in north eastern IL but the sky by the moon is crystal clear and the weather is spectacular!

New Mexico checking in. Moon is nearly half gone with clear skies.

Ge! I’m glad they are going to tell me HOW to watch the moon tonight! I was planning on just going outside and looking up in the sky!

Glad to know the elites are making sure I get the full enjoyment out of it.
Snark:

Now I think of it, I’ve already seen it! Can they make it go back and start over again for what I may have missed?

It’s going into a crescent shape now. I’ve just observed with the telescope that the part that is covered is a darkish rust type colour. Rather amazing.

I’m staying up for it, at my age it’s probably the last one I’ll witness!

High clouds in East Texas. No moon and no rain for three months.

Going on memory here since we’ve got rain, but the red kicks in around the outer edges when it’s nearing total eclipse and is most noticable at total eclipse, which doesn’t last all that long before it shifts out of the opposite side.

I’m furious. We’ve missed all the blood moons due to cloudy weather. GRRRRRR!! The clouds were supposed to break up up a little tonight but no dice. TN strikes out again. :-(
