Dame Helen Mirren has launched another attack on the sexist Hollywood film industry, branding the acting business rife with prejudice.
The actress, 70, has joined the likes of Meryl Streep and Maggie Gyllenhaal, in calling out casting directors who continue to chose youthful looks over acting talent.
The Oscar winner also adds that it's now just as bad for young male actors, who are increasingly expected to have exceptional good looks and perfect bodies too.

It’s shocking when you consider how Hollywood is supposed to be so liberal. They are so liberal on issues such as homosexuality and global warming. Do we mean to say the liberal men who call the shots in Hollywood have sexist views of females???/ OMG, who knew?????

Well, I’ve heard complaints sometimes that Hollywood doesn’t seem to create roles for older women in the movies. Unless there’s a role for somebody’s cranky grandma in some movies, older women aren’t in movies too much.
