If the author was being consistant he would have to include Trump as pro-amnesty as well. This is because Trump has repeatedly said that after he kicks the illegals out that he would let the good ones back in - thus a fast track path to legalization.
We need to make deportation cool. After all, it is saving them from El Norte and returning them to their native wholesome environment.
Cruz needs to get the message that we are also fed up with legal immigrants unless they are from Latvia, Poland, Scotland, or some such Christian place. They need to be without chips on their shoulders against the new land.

If I deport an illegal, give him an appointment to meet with an embassy, he keeps it and performs whatever .... and it costs a million dollars and takes 10 years ... but he does it ...

Notice how politicians are about nothing but the vote. If they can gain a few million votes from illegals, then by golly, they’re dead set against securing the border and deporting those who have been here 2 days or 20 years. No matter how many times they create committees and discuss ad nauseum, there has ALWAYS been a pathway to citizenship. But some refuse to follow the rules and others want the perks without assimilating. It’s those same ones who don’t deserve to be on US soil in any way, shape or fashion.
