Jeb Bush lambasts both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump

Bush criticises Vermont senator’s spending plans and attacks GOP rival for failing to correct a man for saying Barack Obama was ‘not even an American

An energised Jeb Bush has said Bernie Sanders is the “front runner” in the Democratic presidential race as he used a Republican rally to rail against the Vermont senator’s proposals.

Bush told the Mackinac Republican leadership conference Sanders is the leading Democrat in a nod to recent polls showing the senator has taken the lead from Hillary Clinton in the crucial early voting state of Iowa.

It was not all niceties, however. Bush proceeded to lambast the self-declared socialist Democrat.

Sanders has “proposed $18 trillion of new spending” over the next decade “and it’s only September, in the year before the election,” he said, drawing laughter from the room.

Will Ferrell, Red Hot Chili Peppers among Bernie Sanders' celebrity backers Read more The former Florida governor then summoned the spirit of Dr Evil, the fictional villain in the Austin Powers films, saying “if Dr Evil heard Bernie Sanders was talking about $18 trillion, he’d have a heart attack”.

Bush also took a shot at Donald Trump, after the billionaire failed to correct a questioner at a campaign event, who stated that president Barack Obama is a Muslim and “not even American”.

“Barack Obama is a talented man,” Bush said. “And by the way, he’s an American, he’s a Christian – his problem isn’t the fact that he was born here, or what his faith is.

“His problem is that he’s a progressive liberal who tears down anybody that disagrees with him.”

Jeb’s biggest problem of all is his wife and NO ONE is looking at that. I’ve posted the problem several times and NO ONE is getting it. Oh well.

Jeb and Hillary should team up — the Uniparty Ticket.

Marco Amnesty Rubio doesn’t stand a chance against Trump.

The Joyful Tortoise is showing us how energized he is and the press is telling us how energized he is because the comment by Trump rang true.

¡Yeb! the Democrat in an R jersey

The kind of Republican that doesn’t scare Democrats.

That’s the only kind the RNC wants.

From our point of view I agree, she is very problematic.

IMO< that’s like saying the bank robber was only a bad guy because his wife was a controlling ———!

Jebra is a big boy. His wife shouldn’t be able to make him do anything he doesn’t want to.

Jebra’s biggest problem, his own loser self.

I don’t approve of his wife at all. She doesn’t get the whole citizenship dynamic. You’d think a sitting governor might have a few moments to spare, to teach her.

Unrealistic in the Bush household evidently...

I’ll say one thing about Bernie Sanders, although I disagree with him on all of his policy decisions, he is very genuine and Jeb Bush is NOT.

From our point of view I agree, she is very problematic.

It is how she treats her own relatives and friends from the rural "Rancho" from which she comes that is the problem. Not one journalist has dared to go down there and ask. That she is from Mexico is not a problem at all. That she believes herself to be superior in status to her own family and friends IS a problem.

I hadn’t heard of that dynamic.

Not good.

Can’t address her family, but there are plenty of good people in Mexico. Under normal circumstances, family members should respect their relatives still in Mexico.
