At the very least, he WAS a Muslim. If someone was raised in a Buddhist family and culture in the world’s biggest Muslim nation, went to a Buddhist religious school as a registered Buddhist, would he have been called a Christian?
He may have had a formal conversion to Christianity at some time in his life, or he may have grabbed at the Christian religion for political purposes—and now call himself a Christian in public—but I think Shariah law has a provision in it that approves duping the infidels when a Muslim is living there as a minority.

Considering that the "Christian" "church" that he went to was Rev. Wright's; well, I think political purposes is exactly right; 'cause I have never in my life seen or heard anything like the stuff coming out of Wright's mouth. I, personally, would have walked out on Rev. Wright in the middle of the first "sermon" of his I would have heard. So, if that is the "Christian" church Obama was aligned with; I don't think he is much of a Christian, really.
