Bush confronted Trump in Wednesday nights CNN debate, asking Trump to apologize for previously suggesting that Bush is more sympathetic to Mexico by virtue of the fact that Bushs wife is Mexican-American.
Bush even pointed his wife out in the crowd and asked Trump to apologize. Trump responded that he understands Bushs wife Columba is a lovely person.
The exchange was strikingly similar to another CNN debate that occurred on the Netflix...

Yes, she does but the Bushes speak Spanish in their home. They both prefer it.
Jeb is demanding Trump apologize for repeating what Jeb wrote in his own book
He claims to be bi-cultural!
I noticed The Donald did not apologize.
Trump said Jebbie’s wife is Mexican.
He didn’t malign her character, her reputation or her looks.

The language one speaks is more than important culturally. Language is a tool of thought and it guides thought. In early stages of brain development the language learned actually influences the way the brain develops. In these ways language binds a culture in a more pervasive way than we usually suppose. I have noticed sometimes on boxes there will be a small instruction in English that is about three times longer in the French or Spanish translation of the same information. Maybe part of Bush’s inability to get traction is related not only to the “in Spanish” signs and so forth, but also to his diluted ability to communicate in English because of being used to Spanish.
