WTF...
So?
Seems a bit petty to me, even for the obumber admin.
This is my shocked face :-0
Didn’t go to the site. So, what’s the deal?
Not surprised one bit.
Wow! They have NO CLUE how much outrage this is going to evoke.
When Trump hears about it I bet he funds them. Trump as Pres gives back their tax exempt status.
Commie Obama is petty.
In less then 2 days after the speech. Amazing how fast the IRS can move when they want to. Now about those Tea Party Applications?
Can we not post the entire (AP) article here? In the comments??
This is an outrage!! This needs to go viral and pushback needs to happen, fast....to reinstate this groups status.
First of all, this wasn’t to raise money for his campaign - he spoke there free - so, there was no money going into his campaign.
The FEC has ruled that a candidate may attend, speak at, and be a featured guest at such events,” the Trump campaign said in a statement to the AP.
“We’ve got top national election law attorneys that advise and consult with us,”Arends said. He said any restrictions on nonprofits’ endorsements of political candidates would be moot given changes in election law following the Supreme Court’s ruling in the campaign finance case known as Citizens United.
Yep. Thanks.
The non-profit with which I have been involved for 20+ years usually has a net loss anyway, so tax status means nothing.
” The IRS issued its decision Aug. 10, citing the group’s failure to file any tax returns for three consecutive years, according to IRS records reviewed by the AP.”
The article contradicts itself. In the first part, it says Trump’s campaign wouldn’t respond to questions.....later in the article it says....Arends and Trump’s campaign dismissed questions about whether the event was legal.
So, Trump’s campaign DID respond.
Typical AP hit piece covering, once again, for the regime.
According to the article, the IRS revoked their nonprofit status on August 10, so it wasn’t even a registered nonprofit at the time. Did this guy hoodwink Trump? He said he didn’t normally make endorsements in a primary, but was making an exception - something smells fishy about this whole set up.
Think this deserves Breaking News? It’s about as slimy as this slimy admiistration has ever been, and it better be all over talk radio tomorrow.
