If my own sister is in any way representative of Carson supporters, he forges a very tight personal bond. They perceive an innate and ineffable decency in the man. Ideological arguments are lost on them (her).

I’m happy to have never jumped on the Trump bandwagon so I get to watch from a safe distance as everybody else is eventually forced to jump off.
I was on for about 15 minutes. It was the first time he called our “leaders” stupid. I quickly disembarked and have stayed mostly quiet. I did chime in on Jim’s recent thread to “hide and watch”.
But this seems like a real shark that Trump has really jumped.
Likes and polls don’t matter as much as crowds. Trump draws huge crowds, I don’t think Carson draws big crowds or enthusiasm anywhere close to Trump.
When people travel, spend money and hours of their time to go see a candidate, that is the real ‘poll’.
