Building Bridges between the United States and Cuba

Last week, I had the pleasure of participating in a lively forum to exchange ideas and share information at George Washington University (GWU) on ways to strengthen educational and cultural exchanges between the United States and Cuba.

The “Building Bridges” symposium was organized by GWU’s Institute for Public Diplomacy and Global Communication in partnership with the State Department and Sister Cities International. The event was intended to bring together experts from inside and outside the U.S. government to discuss how the new U.S. approach to Cuba can promote more people-to-people links.

Yes, building bridges, toll-free may I add , the people's bridge, having an imported spot of tea, inhaling the swirling clouds of Cohiba, sitting in the warm, lilting breezes of paradise, the people's paradise, Old Havana with fifty year old+ Chevys, a reminder of the glory days of Yankee Imperialism. Ahh, The world is burning, the global warming increasing with each country turning to cinders but those bridges, those bridges will be built.May the world go up in a fiery catastrophe, nuclear holocaust,we'll have them bridges. I suspect that if the Castros are involved in the “bridge building,” they will do it with prison-supplied slave labor.

Hey, it’s only 90 miles. A bridge shouldn’t be too tough.
