An alliance of consumer, health, and environmental groups have released a new report showing how the nation's top 25 fast food companies by sales stack up on their policies regarding antibiotic use in their meat.
The results are dismal: The report gave 20 of the 25 companies failing grades for not effectively responding to a "growing public health threat by publicly adopting policies restricting routine antibiotic use" in meat.

The chicken I buy says on the package that federal law prohibits the use of antibiotics. Is there more to this “federal” law?
They can give starbucks whatever they want....not shopping there.
I have nothing against fast food but the less I eat it the more I notice the high sodium when I do. Maybe it is me and at my age I am more sensitive to it. ?? Don’t know. I just don’t like it as much as I used to. Same goes for pop (different reason). The bad habits I still hold to are candy and ice cream. I tolerate fast food once in awhile. But I could live the rest of my life without it.
That may be overly general. It is not all super high sodium. As for antibiotics, I don’t know. I would think it depends on how much a person consumes.

Every so often, I get a chicken sandwich at Wendy’s with no mayo. I slice the chicken, toss the bread, and put it on top of a small salad. Too each their own. I stopped drinking sugary sodas years ago. Some sugar-free sodas satisfy me. That said, hands off my pizza! :-)
