And when he wakes upo unable to feel the sensation of drawing breath he’s gonna wish he had his old body back. He will get the oxygen, but his brain will not get the message from his body that he is breathing and will feel like he is suffocating every second he is conscious. Non stop panic.
Which is the one big problem with the transhumanist idea of putting your brain in a computer as well.

Dr. Jerry Silver, an expert in regrowing severed nerves, stated “I think [head transplants are] fairly barbaric at this point. I do not even see that 100 years from now it is a possibility.

The procedure will be done in China.
The ‘donor body’ will have been picked as an appropriate blood type, etc. from the existing prison population weeks in advance. The tissue matching process is laborious...
He will, no doubt, have an unfortunate head injury in prison just before the scheduled procedure...

Shouldn’t this be called a full body transplant?

Am I the only one who has visions of the book That Hideous Strength when I read this stuff? I don't know, but I have visions of this:

The vast complexities of nerve connections between the brain and the body will result is a head on top of a spastic, uncontrollable body. I'm not even going to pick - just fill in the name of your least favorite Democrat. :)

I guess if the guy lives, we can ask him if it should be called a head trans plant or a body transplant, seems like he would be the most qualified to tell us.

I wish this guy well. When I first read the title I was thinking that they meant someone’s body was getting a new head. Wouldn't that be weird. Lol!

I have seen videos with those girls... other than being conjoined twins, they seem like perfectly normal young ladies. Look it up... they are cool.

I have upper spine and brain stem damage.
It’s not an easy life but I can function.
They can’t even begin to tell me where all the horrific pain is coming from, why my body feels like it’s shaking in a blender sometimes lol, and other things.
But they are going to TAKE A HEAD and put it on another body.
I held back before. There IS NO CHANCE this is going to work.
But it might lead to quite some bit of knowledge along the way.
