“Cutting funding.” Aren’t we really talking about omitting a line item? Is it really not worth it to send a budget to the president and see if he’ll veto it based on what’s not in it?

“Is it really not worth it to send a budget to the president and see if he’ll veto it based on what’s not in it?”

It is insanity to send one big budget bill to Obama. It gives him the upper hand.

Send 1000 individual spending bills to Obama funding every department and agency, and even projects within agencies. Make him sign hundreds of small spending bills instead of one big bill. Just don’t send bills funding Obamacare, Planned Parenthood, EPA climate change regulation, subsidies for green energy companies.

Obama then has a choice to either sign or veto the small bills. If he doesn’t sign the bill for food stamps, it is he that is denying the poor food. If he doesn’t sign the bill to fund Section 8 housing, he is the one making the poor homeless. If he doesn’t sign the bill funding student loans, he is the anti education president.

Unfortunately McConnell and Boehner want the socialist spending programs just as much as the Democrats. Therefore, they choose not to use the power they have to to beat back tyranny.
