Kim Davis Mocked by 'Marriage' Billboard in Her Hometown
NBC News ^ | 09/13/2015 | by ELISHA FIELDSTADT

The Kentucky clerk who was jailed after refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples hasn't exactly gotten the warmest welcome in her hometown after her release.

A billboard defending gay marriage, towering high above a Rowan County road, is directed specifically at Kim Davis.

Planting Peace, the nonprofit humanitarian organization that paid for the billboard, said in a statement that the "intent of the billboard is to expose this narrow interpretation by Davis and others that they use to defend their discrimination against the LGBTQ community."

"Dear Kim Davis, the fact that you can't sell your daughter for three goats and a cow means we've already redefined marriage," the billboard reads.

The message appears to refer to a Bible scripture that says women can be sold into marriage as slaves. Planting Peace said they are pointing out that "a substantial number of zealots" cite their religion as a reason for disagreeing with gay marriage while ignoring other parts of the Bible that many consider equally antiquated.

"We have to meet hate with love … intolerance with compassion," the organization said in their statement. "There are LGBTQ youth across the world who are taking their lives at an alarming rate because of these messages from society that make them feel broken or less than."

I’m telling you folks. We can put liberals in cages now or later. But eventually to save itself, the world will put liberals in cages. you heard it here first.

Honestly, a stupid argument to make. Let alone to pay for.

Homo youth take their lives at amazing rates because of the homosexual lifestyle - not because of their inability to marry each other.

Simple solution:

Burn the damn thing down. That’s what the homosexual crowd would do (and has done) to pro-Christian expressions of Biblical marriage. Hoist them on their own adult toys.

The point to me is the article made it sound like her hometown is shunning her but this is an outside entity coming in and insulting everybody IN the town.

Who said feed them?

you cage them and put them on display and charge admission.

You take the cash to fund the rebuild of society and children see what the animals that nearly ended civilization looked like.

Think of it as a scared straight program for the 21st century.

Liberals making a non-existent point to perpetuate what was, until just recent years, non-existent problem that they created out of nothing, to create conflict that didn’t have to exist.

They sure would. But they would get away with it. Probably earn a COURAGE award. Christians, on the other hand, would get a lengthy prison sentence . . . if not the death penalty (which may survive in the US just in case it’s needed to finish off the Christians).

They can’t guard that billboard 24 hours a day, it’s the concept of diminishing returns.

What is scary is that these people are serious in thinking this lunacy makes sense. It's not a matter of disagreement. Same sex marriage doesn't exist. Two men, nor two women, can be husband and wife. Period. Language and biology are not "antiquated." Acknowledging this fact makes you a "zealot"

Contact Lamar Advertising. They agreed to put this up, and it attacks the Bible. That’s what we need to remember, that it’s God Word that’s being mocked. There are still many Christians out there. Lamar should be hesitant to get involved in attacking the Bible in the future.
