He declared too early, thinking about POTUS immediately after winning his 3rd election. Should have downplayed any presidential aspirations and then made a bold announcement in June or July.
Also Walker forgot that his initial huge support was due to his standing up to the Left. He was Trump before Trump himself thought about running, but Walker jumped in bed with the RNC and their slimy associates.
Why is this so hard to comprehend? People want a warrior. That is why Trump is popular. They are sick and tired of scripted boy-band politicians who want to “work with” the other side.

Not that it will keep me up at nights, but Walker doesn’t have a law degree to go make millions at some firm. I dont know what kind of demand there will be on the lecture circuit.

Your post 12 is a pretty good summary of what happened to Walker but I think there is more to it than that, something about how Walker comes across to a national audience. He doesn’t. Whatever he has that works well in Wisconsin just doesn’t seem to translate over to the national stage. It might not even be his fault, but that’s the way it is.
At this point I would say his only reason for staying in is to see what it is he lacks and see if it can be fixed, with an eye to 2020 or 2024.
But he risks a lot of embarrassment doing that.
That’s also why the media continue to drive me nuts with their 2 second attention span.
They essentially play a game of ‘He called you a name! What do you call him?’...etc etc.
As for the fatuous bipartisanship offer by Walker, Christie et al, the next question should immediately be ‘What Dem policy or legislation do you endorse, and what are the Dems offering that you think are god ideas?’
Obviously there is no adequate or sane answer but the media might try stringing together two thoughts.
