The European Parliament (EP) passed a resolution on the EU’s Role in the Middle East Peace Process Thursday, but rejected an amendment calling for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations to be based on the two-state principle.
The amendment was rejected 421 to 134 with 59 abstentions, in what critics see as an expression of the EP’s reluctance to accept Israel’s very right to exist.
Martina Anderson, a Member of the European Parliament, in an intervention just before the vote, warned that support for the amendment would pave the way for “ethnic cleansing” of the non-Jewish population.
The American Jewish Committee’s Transatlantic Institute said following the vote that it is disappointed that the EP did not endorse the principle of “two states for two peoples.” …

BTW, I learned from staying at a friend’s house that some Israeli shows are in two languages, English and the Mother tongue. And they go back and forth within the same show!! Was pretty wild.

I seriously wonder sometimes if it was wise to bail out Europe twice.
The Marshall Plan had the USSR’s fingerprints all over it.
We still had to deal with Germany since they declared war on us. It was not a good idea at all to hand de-Nazification over to Adenauer a mere two years after the war ended.
Looks to me like the manifestation of Revelation 12:12.
Olag-Hai, you’re much more knowledgeable about that period than I am. I’ll take your word for it.
You comments re Adenauer seem reasoned. I just don’t enough about the Marshall Plan to contribute.
What makes it worse is that Adenauer’s government declared de-Nazification “over” (not complete or finished) a mere three years after they took control of it. So a scant five years of “de-Nazification” is a fait accompli? We’ve lived with that for 65 years thus far, and to act surprised when the EU does things of this sort ought to speak to the shame of the Allies, or so I think.
As for the Marshall Plan, it contributed to the so-called “Wirtschaftwunder”, where German industry sprang back from the dead, and old bosses that were convicted of war crimes got released from prison to take over their old positions in a lot of cases.
