We need to pressure the Republican Senate to invoke the Nuclear option. The Democrats in the Senate are blocking a vote on the Iran deal. McConnell can vote to remove the 60 vote requirement for cloture as Harry Reid did. If McConnell will not do so the conservative in the Senate need to form there own 40 member voting block to stop all future Senate bills until this deal is stopped

I myself came to realize years ago that Republicans are not serious about winning and advancing their agenda but Democrats are.

FWIW, Sen. Dan Sullivan of Alaska’s speech on the floor was brilliant.

Treatys are submitted by the executive branch for ratifications. Clinton entered into the Kyoto Accords, but it’s never been submitted for ratification. Truman (I think) entered into the Genocide Treaty, but it was submitted by Reagan and ratified. Interestingly Iran is in violation of the Genocide Treaty, US Law, as well as other statutes. The penalties available to our next President are substantial.

Yes, indeed. Though, it will take a minute or two to get past what has to be the most blatantly dishonest and biased reporting I've read in the past few days, and that's a high bar. And since it's AP, that means it will be the headline for every dying secondary newspaper and hourly newscast throughout the country.

It would be unwise of the Republicans, or even the Democrats, to underestimate the insurrectionary mood they seem intent on kindling. It's past the need for hip boots in this flood of bull. People need a snorkel.

If Bruce Jenner can call himself a woman, then Obama can call his nuclear treaty with Iran a recipe for fudge cake. Fudge cake (yellowcake?) recipes do NOT require Senate approval!

You Conservatives are sooooo picky!

Iran nuclear deal survives: Democrats block disapproval vote

They are dumber than I ever would have dreamed.

I sent the idea for using the 1964 "Daisey Girl" Ad to Senator Cruz. Nothing would shock the Liberals more than seeing that ad aired in context of the Iran deal.

Is there any reason that any Senator could not submit the Iran deal as a treaty for an up or down 2/3 vote?

The Corker bill reversed the procedure on this particular treaty.

This treaty is NOT a treaty, THIS treaty is a surrender.

McConnell, use the ‘nuclear option’ or Iran will use the real thing.

I'm really beginning to hate the entire DC establishment. I'm very afraid for my country. When I'm thinking Trump is a reasonable option, I'm concerned.

“2. The Dems under Reid threw the filibuster under the bus so they could get their way. As soon as the GOP came to power, it gave the filibuster back so the Dems could block oh so many things.

Why is this so difficult for the GOP powers to comprehend?”

And they can’t comprehend why voters are rejecting their establishment candidates. nDenial.

The feckless GOPe strikes again. What, exactly was the point in voting these people into a majority, if Nazi Pelosi & Harry Reid are still running the place?
