Clinton’s ‘Hard Choices’ on Security
The Wall Street Journal ^ | September 5, 2015 | John J. Ruprecht

. . . Mrs. Clinton’s . . . book “Hard Choices” . . . is a road map to bring Mrs. Clinton to justice by her own hand.

. . . Mrs. Clinton emphasizes, in detail, the rigorous security measures she was subject to as secretary of state . . .
She specifically acknowledges security breaches of home computers by hackers.
She writes that “people of good faith understand the need for sensitive diplomatic communications to protect . . . the national interest.”
. . . She forcefully condemns the illegal disclosure of classified material by third parties, e.g., WikiLeaks.

Apologies in advance.
I’m not planning to buy or read her book.

I’m hoping someone else has them stomach to do so.

I am, however, very curious about the statement that she acknowledges or addresses security breaches to her home system.

Can someone please expand on what she actually said, and possibly discern time frames for context as it relates the her time at State?

“LAPDOG LANNY” WONT BELIEVE IT— BUT THIS HAS CRIMINAL IMPLICATIONS A cabinet-level government employee using their own server and personal e-mail exclusively is unheard of.

<><> the US govt tech system is really fussy——particularly about emails from the US State Dept.

<><> a govt official (particularly the Secy of State) cannot simply buy a brand new computer with licenses and programs and expect to have it certified.

<><> US govt officials are required to have a government-purchased computer, set up by the govt, utilizing a CACC card cleared technician.

<><> a high government official (particularly the Secy of State) to utilize day to day a non-government computer for communications in the performance of their job is in violation of security laws in dozens of ways.

<><> whether marked as such, all emails emanating from Hillary’s private server are classified ntl security data.

It is considered a crime for ex-govt employees to possess ntl security emails. All ntl security material belongs to the American people and is to be turned over upon termination of employment.

Ntl security info transferred from the State Dept and stored in The Clinton Foundation server is an atrocity.

Sensitive Ntl security info was transferred from Hillary's State Dept
and stored in The Clinton Foundation server--and we all know why.

From “dead broke” to having their kid buy a $10 million Manhattan condo in just a few years....

Truly an American success story

I would be too, of course - except that the letter does not say that she was talking about her own server. Obviously we didn’t know about that when we were hearing about “Hard Choices.”

Many years ago, I listened to John Dean testify before the Watergate Committee. I remember thinking, “If only half of what he says is true, this country is in a big heap of trouble.”
I have the same thoughts about the HRC revelations and MSM lack of concern as if being partisan is an acceptable alternative to morality.

Would love to see the whole letter since I can’t access the WSJ letters to the editor.

And I don’t plan to buy a book that no one read. Maybe that’s why no conservative reporter or pundit has found these quotes.

Yes the whole letter is even stronger than my excerpt. I just don’t feel comfortable not excerpting, unfortunately. Not, especially, from behind a paywall.

Exactly - the book just wasn’t read, and the letter is a real public service. It only makes sense that there might be interesting inconsistencies between Hillary’s book and her subsequent statements. I plan to bite the bullet and get Choices out of the library and see about doing some quote hunting for FR.

I’ll ping you if/when I post a vanity from that.

The Real Watergate Scandal is a new book based on research which is only now becoming possible; the author claims a smoking gun proving that Judge Sirocca engaged in a treasonous conspiracy against the president by conducting an “ex parte” meeting with the prosecution, illegally scheming to railroad Nixon’s aides.

The author, a junior lawyer in the Nixon Administration, says he smelled a rat at the time, but not as big as what he has now learned. He asserted that Nixon would not have resigned if he had known half of what was going on.

This, based on a C-Span discussion by the author . . .

Hillary is very close to the Mary Landrieu campaign MO.

Hillary campaigned for then-Sen Landrieu. They were all smiles and Washington-insider buddiness.

Landrieu apparently thought she was infinitely more intelligent than her peon constituents.

Landrieu suggested she had to dumb down her remarks to make the dense peons understand.....to make them think she was “one of them.”

BTW, “dumb” Louisiana voters showed Landrieu to the door.
