Jeb Bush this morning reacted to Donald Trump criticizing him for using Spanish, calling his rival a divisive, unserious person who "doesn't believe in tolerance."
"I think Donald Trump is trying to insult his way to the presidency and it's not going to work," Bush said on Good Morning America. "People want an uplifting hopeful message. People come to this country to pursue their dreams, sometimes they start without speaking English but they learn English and they add vitality to our country."

The mere fact that "Univision" and "Telemundo" even exist gives the lie to the first part of that statement. There is a large (and growing) segment in this country which doesn't speak English, aren't learning English, and to be perfectly frank, don't want to even attempt to learn it at all. This was Mr. Trump's actual point, and Mr. Bush doesn't even attempt to rebut it...

This constant pandering to minorities is foolish. Look at the racial breakdowns of voting, all you are doing is alienating groups into stereotypes.
Try talking about things like: family, jobs, faith, quality and non-political education, safety in neighborhoods and schools. Those are the issues that transcend race. The Demons have made a mess of all the above. Don’t be foolish to follow their agenda and obsess with PC crap. Trump is tapping into the PC nonsense, which has been building to a crescendo for decades.

In many places in this state speaking Spanish isn’t an inconvenience, its a requirement.

Why doesn’t he speak Italian? What is so special about Spanish? Is it because the Spanish don’t assimilate?
