Having the people at My Back is Better than having D.C. in My Pocket

It’s an elliptical construction with the implied gerund “having” preceding both the phrase “the people [sic] at My Back” and “DC in My Pocket”, and thus the singular verb “is” is correct.
Stick to harassing blog pimps.

So.. this mook doesn't know the difference between "is" and "are"? Crawl back under your rock troll, people are getting really tired of your failed attempts at any relevance here.
Your petty and juvenile BS doesn't help the true purpose of Free Republic, Dumb-ass.
