TORONTO — Outside the quarantine zone Tuesday, life carried on as usual. Cars backed up. Fire trucks idled. Men (and women) went about their business.
But inside the cordon, in the heart of Toronto’s financial district, things were oddly, eerily calm. A lone police officer stood on Bay Street, looking bored and chewing gum, while outside the tape, office workers looked up, craned their necks and gaped.
Toronto Police blocked off a congested clump of streets in the commercial core for more than 24 hours Monday and Tuesday. The culprit: a wonky, but as it turned out perfectly safe, spire atop the Trump International Hotel & Tower.
The antenna scare provoked much mirth online. The mad lib potential of “unstable,” “Trump,” and “antenna” proved too much for most wits to resist.
Even the mayor got in on the fun. “I will say I smiled a little bit yesterday when I heard the words stabilization and Trump used in the same sentence,” John Tory told reporters with a chuckle.

I have no doubt Toronto’s mayor can’t wait to get his hands on the tax money that Trump hotel brings in. Mr. “Mayor” best not laugh too hard, Trump has his ways of making change and I speak not about chump change, there’s real money involved. Trump plays for keeps.
This is the 2nd or 3rd post on this thing and none have a picture of what they’re talking about.
There’s a huge Trump condo/apartment building at Columbus Circle in Manhattan...right across the street from Central Park.Although I’ve never been inside (I don’t travel in those circles) the exterior is really tacky...something you’d expect a rapper or drug lord to live in.
That’s it, TRUMP IS FINISHED. He cannot even install a stable TV antenna. ELECTION IS OVER, I’m back to Jeb. LOL.
If they are implying that Trump has a Rob Ford problem I don’t think that’s the case.

Yup,that photo is what motivated me to make my comment.It,too,looks kinda "low rent" even though the rents are,I'll wager,astronomical.
John Tory. What a misnomer. This guy runs as a conservative but he is just slightly right of the lesbian Premier, and that’s just fiscally, not socially. I live in Kawartha Lakes district, where he “parachuted” in to try and land a seat in the Ontario legislature after “winning” the Tory leadership. He lost dismally. The people up this way weren’t willing to vote for “Liberal Lite”.
