I don’t expect most of these people to vote in the actual primary elections ...

*******************************

HUH?? The voting booths are going to be the scene of stampedes if Trump is the nominee. Everyone I know is “itching” to vote for him - young, old & former Obamanites. They’d vote for Cruz, too. Jebito? Rubio? Christie? Kasich? Meh.

But the cause of all of them is a morality free existence

The slide has been going on for a long, long time. One notable event in the slide was the Bill Clinton era in which people openly decided that character didn't matter.

I think people today feel that character does matter, political correctness is killing us, and honesty in government is almost completely lacking. Trump is attracting attention, in part, because he has really valid ideas (on immigration, taxes) but also because people think he's blunt and honest and willing to say the stuff that others are afraid to say.

People are hungry for a moral society. They know that what we have today is broken. It has to start with honesty.

The Trump charge is not so much a vote for Trump and his policies as it is a slap in the face of the old time GOP that no longer speaks for conservatism. The last GOP conservative was Reagan, and he did work for a smaller gov’t. Personally, I’d enforce the current immigration laws to the hilt, freeze non-military gov’t spending, replace the tax code with a flat (not Fair) tax on both personal and corporate income, and kill the EPA and other regulatory agencies who think they can circumvent Congressional approval. I’d also try to find a Congress who do what they were elected to do: Provide social overhead capital and solve problems rather than just fret about their own reelection. I’d also pass a law that says:
“Any elected official who approves a spending budget that leads to 3% or more increase in the deficit cannot sit for reelection”. I’d jump at the chance to help such a person. Compare those goals with what we see coming from the current GOP leadership and its business-as-usual-to-get-me-reelected.

Gee Kevin....when I read the title of the OP, I thought they were talking about the google-eyed Circus Geek Jeb....but it devolved into something anti-Trump. I guess one could expect that now because collective establishment is so afraid of him.

This: If the future of all free civilization didn’t rest so much on it’s outcome... is ESPECIALLY telling. And in trying on your horse crap about "vetting" [Trump] in the face of TWO elections of the Kenyan is patent bullshit.

If Trump weren't running, those words never would have been uttered as they should have in 2008 and in 2012 or a hundred other times with all the leadership elections.

The truth is that there is only one, two at most, candidates right now on the Republican slate that resonate with the core disgust at the betrayal of GOPe leadership, and he is the man about which all these "concern" articles are written.

Because you mention Huckabee or drive-by Jeb as if the name legitimizes the Trump hate doesn't hide the real motive.

Trump isn't my choice by any means, but I certainly don't think he is as dangerous as Jeb or near a dozen of the others. He scares the crap out of all you "concern" capos and you're all doing your level best to take him out. See what happens, suckers.

“...a man who brags how well he’s beat the system of free markets.”

What a silly statement. One builds wealth by properly using the tools provided by free markets, not by “beating” those tools.

You have to “beat” other systems to get rich. Capitalism is designed to provide the best chance for prosperity to the largest number of people, unlike other economic systems.

Carry on.

Being a highly productive member of the talk radio world, this election is great for my job, at this point. But my heart aches for the depth of the real matters facing us, and how it’s all getting co-opted by one word names. (Trump, Hillary, Bernie, Jorge.)

Immigration is the defining issue of our time. It affects everything else including jobs, wages, the economy, welfare payments, health care, etc.

Sanders the RED clown. The First Nation women clown (not real native) And at the clown holding gate the Carbon clown Gore. I know they have a few clowns in training in the back ground also. That makes up a short school bus full!

Yup we’re in for a world of hurt alright. As if the current situation isn’t bad enough. I doubt anyone of them can pull America’s chestnuts out of the fire at this point.

It’s still worth a try though.

Dear Kevin,

Remember when Mayor Marxist duh Blasio said the City would cancel all contracts and never ever do business with Trump again?

Well, well, it looks like Businessman Trump has had the last laugh:
http://www.newsday.com/news/new-york/city-hall-new-york-city-can-t-break-its-trump-contracts-1.10757847

A mayoral analysis of hundreds of millions of dollars in New York City contracts with developer and presidential candidate Donald Trump concluded that the city could not legally terminate the relationship over his comments about Mexicans that officials deemed offensive.

“We reviewed the city's existing contracts with Donald Trump and found no legal way to cancel these contracts,” Monica Klein, a spokeswoman for Mayor Bill de Blasio, said Thursday. “In the future, however, the mayor said he would not go out of his way to do any business with Mr. Trump.”

It seems it would behoove Americans to find out who Trump would hire to clean out DC. It seems Trump has hired damn good negotiators/contract lawyers. Would Trump's business skills transfer to the presidency? Just about a month ago Trump explained to the audience that flexibility is the key to a deal making. It's like going to war, “No battle plan survives contact with the enemy.”

The question is, would Trump get rid of or streamline (through attrition) the the Department of (Un)Education, the EPA, the Department of (Non)Energy, Department of No Agriculture, the IRS etc.? Would Trump get rid of all the left wingunts Obama has hired in all the agencies under Obama including the DOJ? Also, Trump is asking for tax advice from Lafer and Forbes. Will Trump follow through?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17ZZLuTY2zk&feature=youtu.be&t=22

I'm keeping an open mind (heck, it's 15 months before the election).
