Smell the fear.

The interesting dynamic is how Trump continues to soldier on in spite of it.

Speaking of fear, Dow futures are in the toilet. Let the stock market crash and see how that affects the dynamic. Nothing like a depression to solidify political views.

The BBC ranks up there as one of the most vile leftist government cabals. Orwell knew what he was talking about!

Yes, the BBC is their mouthpiece. Though what they reported in late 2013 about the republicans is a rare instance that one could take to the bank.

It was at a time when Ted Cruz was leading the effort to defund Obamacare but fund everything else. The proposed budget funded the entire government save for Obamacare and Obama was threatening to veto the funding legislation while attempting to pin the blame for government shutdown on the republicans.

The republicans held strong and demonstrators amassed in Washington DC especially to remove the barricades to national monuments that Obama had declared shutdown as a result of the budget impasse.

As the confrontation became a game of chicken between the opponents of Obamacare and Obama, I heard from a contact in London. He is a minor English aristocrat (although his older brother is more prominent) that I know fairly well but cut business ties with last year. He is inside the group-think of the leftist cabal of the London elite. Although his political views and condescending nature annoyed me, we had business together and I let him know politics is not something I was interested in discussing with him. But on occasion he would bring up politics because of his air of superiority. We Skyped together several times a week over a few years.

As the funding crisis escalated the republicans held together surprisingly well. It was all over the BBC News The contact in London Skyped me and I answered. The first thing he said was:

“I’m watching the BBC. The republicans are winning.”

The BBC was reporting that the republicans led by Ted Cruz were winning. Americans had no idea how afraid the international left was that the right-wing would win and shut down socialist healthcare in the USA.

We all know the rest of the story. Boehner caved and Obama blamed the shutdown on republicans many of whom walked off with their tail between their legs.

And Donald Trump confirmed all this last month when he stated that the republicans would have won on defunding Obamacare had they stuck together.

The republican leadership is tone deaf when it comes to the notion of ‘solidarity’. The democrats practice solidarity even in the face of the facts and truth contrary to their positions. But the republican establishment actively works to dissolve their conservative base rather than unite the party in opposition. When the BBC reports that US conservatives are winning, it reflects fear that the international left has for events not going their way. Such reports from the BBC are rare as most of their reporting is to embellish the leftist point of view.
