Same in my family. I didn’t know there is a name for it.
I was always told it is a sign of courage, honor, strength, long life, prosperity and intellect!
I’m still waiting on the long life and prosperity parts.
I don’t know what it’s a sign of. I know in my family it’s inherited. My dad had it; I have it (brother and sister don’t) and two of my three sons have it.
