Slovakia says it will only accept Christians when it takes in Syrian refugees under a EU relocation scheme. The country is due to receive 200 people from camps in Turkey, Italy and Greece under the EU plan to resettle 40,000 new arrivals.
Interior ministry spokesman Ivan Metik said Muslims would not be accepted because they would not feel at home. The UN's refugee agency (UNHCR) called on countries to take an "inclusive approach" to relocation.
But Mr Metik denied the move was discriminatory and said it was intended to ensure community cohesion.
The number of migrants at the EU's borders has surged in recent months, reaching a record high of 107,500 in July. Most are Syrians, Afghans, and sub-Saharan Africans, fleeing instability or poverty.
Last month, EU member states agreed to take in 32,000 asylum seekers arriving in Italy and Greece over the next two years - fewer than the 40,000 target. The scheme was made voluntary after some nations - including Slovakia - refused to accept set quotas.
Mr Metik told the BBC: "We want to really help Europe with this migration wave but... we are only a transit country and the people don't want to stay in Slovakia. "We could take 800 Muslims but we don't have any mosques in Slovakia so how can Muslims be integrated if they are not going to like it here?"

There are several countries that are only taking christians, though some aren’t saying so openly.
USA is taking muslims and booting the (iraqi, syrian) christians who make it here on their own

I’d certainly hope so. I’m seeing the increasing colonization / invasion of America by more and more Muslims all the time personally everywhere I go. The younger generation is taking off their hijabs that identifies them as Muslims but I still see them around a mother that’s wearing one. I think the female youth / teens are not wearing them so as not to appear as threatening. It looks they are trying to pump up their numbers until they reach critical mass so they don’t even have to fire a shot and I believe they are being assisted by the White Hut in doing so. I have always thought Jarrett’s “payback” referred to the white man’s influence in America being destroyed and that that is their end goal; that’s the radical transformation they’re referring to.
We can no longer sit back and be pacifists and conformists if we want to keep the America we love that has been the greatest nation the world has ever seen because we were once a “true” Christian nation.

They are from Slovenia. Not the same as Slovakia as we learned from our Slovakian house guest last year. Kinda like calling a Texan a new yorker.

The takedown of America does not bother the millenials or much of anyone who believes network TV. But if I were Christ I would gather my enemies in easy to identify places, separate out the faithful and destroy the cities (where the bad guys mostly live). Like rope-a-dope.
