ISIS beheads Palmyra antiquities expert in the ancient city where he had worked for 50 years - then hangs his body from a column
Islamic State militants have beheaded an antiquities scholar in an ancient Syrian city and hung his body on a column in a main square.
The family of Khaled Asaad are said to have been told that the 82-year-old scholar who worked for more than 50 years as head of antiquities in Palmyra was executed by ISIS yesterday.
Mr Asaad had been detained and interrogated for over a month by the ultra-radical Sunni Muslim militants, according to Syrian state antiquities chief Maamoun Abdulkarim.
Sickening images proudly shared on social media by depraved supporters of the terror group showed the mutilated remains of Mr Assad chained to a railing, with his severed head - still wearing glasses - placed on the floor between his feet.

I’m not sure why that came to my mind as I read this; I think I know why, but I won’t say it now.

I bet half of this stuff would not happen if they couldn't publicize it to get attention.
There should be some kind of criminal behavior censorship done by moderators - this would sure qualify.

I am now dealing with the implications of realizing that I agree with something posted on Slate.
I know how you feel. I was shocked as well.
I find it stunning that we rarely hear about ISIS any longer in the headlines. I don’t hear any regular updates about how the “fight” against them is going, how they’re being defeated, etc. I read articles about their demonic murders, and it doesn’t seem to register with people the way it used it. It’s almost like they’re being accepted.

It is hard not to fall to liberal ideas when you are controlled by emotions.
Accepted? How about encouraged? Obamhole loves Isis or Isil or what ever politically correct name there is for Muslims today.
ISIS is attepting to wipe out the truth, in this case of history, and all who may know it. Saul tried the same with the upstart Jews called Christians.
...and because it is NEVER out of my mind, the murder of the unborn innocents. Are we as Americans holding the cloaks in both instances?
One would think the atrocities committed by ISIS, who are acting in accordance with the Koran, would cause many Moslems to reconsider the tenets of their faith. What crime could this 82 year old man have committed to deserve this fate?
No. This needs to be out there, if for nothing else, to show the world what ISIS truly is.
It would not be controlling our lives, it would be controlling the content of a site that is being used as a weapon.
