Another racist bites the dust.
bfd
Satan will take His due.
I heard him speak at Kent State back in the 70s. He came across as calm and measured — but darned if I can remember a thing he said.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
What a shame.
He was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 1965 , but was denied his seat in the legislature by his colleagues. Eventually courts ruled that he was duly elected and should be seated. It may have been a shock to Jim Crow era Georgia that a Negro was elected to.public office.
To me, if you associate with the splc, sorry for ya. Not you, jb.
Another race pimp bites the dust..
Whenever I read something about Julian Bond in the last 20 years, or saw him on TV, he always seemed very bitter and angry. Julian, like Harry Belafonte , Donald Glover, and Eric Holder has remained stuck in the 60’s attitudes of us against them.
I always thought his anger somewhat ironic, considering that as a young man, he was a rather light skinned black person, and thus reaped the asthetic benefits of not looking or sounding ‘fully’ black. I suspect Julian Bond had a lot in common with Louis Farakhan, he of the Black Muslims.
And singer-songwriter?
And an aspiring rapper
He didn’t have a colorful name like H. Rap Brown.
LOL!
At least he died knowing that he made an extremely positive mark on race relations and left the world a better place (extreme sarcasm)
There wasn’t a Leftist cause this guy did not embrace. Adios, Julian.
I guess I should care and feel sad... But I don’t.
Or Gil Scott Heron: Spoken Word Poet and rabblerouser;
Narator of “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised!”
He’s doubly damned for being involved with the SPLC, imho.
