Many private employers are traditional, religious people - often who work out of their homes (basement offices and the like). The idea that Trump doesn't think a private employer should be able to hire and fire based on this is a bit disturbing and pretty much the leftist position on the issue.

In the ABC interview, it seemed that what Trump was saying is we do what it takes to defeat ISIS (and he didn't call them ISIL). He was not saying it would necessarily take ground troops. He was saying that if there are ground troops it's very clear what their mission is....destroy ISIS.

No ambiguity whatsoever. You tell the generals what the mission is, and they plan what it takes to get the job done. I believe that's what we used to call leadership.

For arguments sake, let’s say we do seize the oil fields. Then what. How many troops would be needed to prevent the locals from blowing up the pipelines. How many troops would be needed to protect convoys of oil trucks going to the ports. Who would like to drive an oil tanker hundreds of miles with hostile locals with plenty of RPG’s lining the highway. If we instead destroy the oil fields, wouldn’t that mean higher oil prices as there less of a supply in the world. You can come up with an endless list of problems.
