I live in Maine, which has a HUGE rate of gun ownership.
We have open carry and, in October, Constitutional Carry goes into effect. No permit needed to carry a concealed firearm on your person or in your vehicle.
I’ve been here 23 years and I can’t recall a police officer being killed in the line of duty by a firearm.

Seems to me if you check the # of police killed in line of duty from gun carriers carrying legally vs illegally would paint a better picture.

Float an idea out there where you want your results to be found. $omeone will find you your desired result$.
Many guns for hire, just tell them what you want and they can justify/prove it.

Hm, well when the cops bust into the wrong house and shoot your dog and your grandma, I would say that police force ownership of guns endangers citizens. Today’s cops are impetuous and tyrannical. They also tend to cover up the offences of their fellow officers—no matter the terribleness of said offenses.

The last time I looked it up, the majority of law enforcement officers who were shot and killed were shot and killed with their own guns, by their own hand.
An annual homicide rate of 1 per 100,000 is very low. For the rest of us, moist of whom go around without body armor and M16s in our trunks, it's 4.7 per 100,000.

List of high gun ownership states omits Texas and Florida. I’d call BS based on that alone.

Doubtful this is very accurate. Beyond that the answer is so what. The Constitution provides for the CITIZENS to have weapons it did not provide for a police force. So basically we have more right to a gun then they do.......
Sorry police don’t bitch at me, I am a former LEO but I am a citizen fore most..........
