Donald Trump would reverse President Obama's executive orders on immigration and deport all undocumented immigrants from the U.S. as president, he said in an exclusive interview with NBC's Chuck Todd.
"We're going to keep the families together, but they have to go," he said in the interview, which will air in full on NBC's "Meet the Press" this Sunday.
Pressed on what he'd do if the immigrants in question had nowhere to return to, Trump reiterated: "They have to go."
"We will work with them. They have to go. Chuck, we either have a country, or we don't have a country," he said.
Speaking on Trump's gilded private plane as it idled on a runway in Des Moines, Iowa, the real-estate mogul and Republican presidential frontrunner offered the first outlines of the immigration policy proposals he'd implement from the Oval Office.
Trump said, to begin, "we have to" rescind Obama's executive order offering those brought to the U.S. illegally as children — known as DREAMers — protection from deportation, as well as Obama's unilateral move to delay deportation for their families as well.
"We have to make a whole new set of standards" for those immigrating to the US.

Be still, my heart—if this is really Trump’s detailed position on immigration, I’m ready to sign up. I believe, however, that he has said he’ll wait until after Labor Day, when people are ready to pay attention, before rolling out his immigration program first, and then I think his tax plan a week later.
The more Trump calls for closing the border, building a wall, deporting illegal aliens, etc., the more he will surge.
Trump’s meeting with Jeff Sessions on immigration is having an effect. I expect Trump to come out with his plan on immigration in September that will contain Jeff Sessions’ proposals. Hopefully, Trump will also link immigration to jobs and American workers.
Is he talking about Illegal Aliens?
And the GOPe / Chamber of Commerce free labor express group grind their teeth at plain talk like that.
Illegal aliens are not undocumented immigrants.
They are not undocumented, they usually have documents in multiple names, all fraudulent.
They are not immigrants. Immigrants are people who apply to be Americans, pay their fees, wait their turn, learn the language, and comply with the laws.
They are illegal aliens. The law is they are to be deported. We just need someone to carry out the laws because for the past two administrations they have worked harder to NOT enforce the laws than TO enforce the laws.
Obama is actively assisting them and protecting them from U.S. law.
