Rand Paul definitely missed the flood tide for launch. And he did not help himself in the least by being sharply critical of The Donald. This is not to say that The Donald is beyond criticism (there has not yet been much about SPECIFIC policy positions or definite plans to institute change from The Donald), but to just go out there and bust horns in a vain attempt to gain publicity, or in this instance, notoriety, is futile in the extreme, and destined to backfire big time.
Expect no pity or apology from The Donald. And for sure, not the Vice-President slot.

It has nothing to do with McConnell (What is he the source of all evil? GMAFB already), Rand quite frankly is a poor politician, and his more libtardtarian policies are out of step with most Republicans.
