Could the Republican Party puppetmasters be arrogant enough to be saying let Trump go third party, maybe even bring Cruz with him? We know they don't care if they lose the presidency; the important thing is that a Constitutional Conservative doesn't get the nomination. Then they'd be rid of Trump and still have control of the party.

That would be out of touch and arrogant. The Democrats are in disarray with no terrific candidate. My contention is that if the 'pubs pull a stunt like that, Trump would have a real good chance of winning third party.

After FOX had such fantastic ratings, no way are the other hosts going to allow him to be cut loose. Nope, he is a ratings magnet, and they want their piece of the pie!

Ban Hillary? LOL I guess if Hillary is arrested, they would find it difficult to set up a link to her jail cell (snicker)

They’re called the “stupid party” for a reason (or two or three). The outrage if they push Trump to running 3rd party ... well, all bets would be off at that point.

Tea Party is still pondering.

They are pondering why Trump made statements more than a decade ago about assault weapons, abortions, democrats.

They are still pondering why Trump is not like granite rock which never changes, or evolves.

Wonder if they pondered about Reagan also, when he switched parties.

What a person deems important has a lot to do about how his “position” will evolve.

Has Trump become a sincere populist? If so, then he will start to listen to the “red neck” crowd and not just try to entertain it.

Good post. And I agree. It is Trump against the Goliath and he will stand or fall on his own. However, I would stress that our vocal support of him plays a HUGE part in this. Without that, the spin doctors will find a way to gloss over his every victory and eventually shut him out.

The GOP and MSM have already attempted to silence Trump. Before the 1st debate, there were hundreds of attempts, with at least 4 professional level attempts.

What would be good is not him debating himself. What would be great is him bringing in a handful of amateur reporters, say, from high schools in the heartland to question him like at a press conference. They would ask better questions and are not old enough to serve up exquisite gotcha journalism. And it would be cute.

it was fractured over the issue of slavery in the same way the republican party is fractured over the immigration issue.

That's something to ponder.

He can rent a stadium, put up the debate on huge monitors and answer the questions asked with CNN providing the tv coverage.

I knew the GOPe were suicidal lemmings, but this shows all the rational thought of an Obama voter.

He’ll completely overshadow any debate they attempt to bar him from, count on it.

They're inept, stupid with private agendas and they run the country the exact same way.

They're too stupid to figure out what his alternatives are.

Yes! I did say it is his game and there is not much we can do to help except show support of Trump.

I doubt that they would do that.

More than likely, during the nomination, they will just skip right over him, and nomiate the 2nd place runner, and use some lame excuse, or no excuse at all, to do it.

The GOPe is so entrenched, so in bed with their democrat buddies, that they don’t even care what the electorate thinks of them anymore, and they will rub that in your face all. day. long.

And don’t bother with threats of “voting them out”. They have all the best voters that money can buy, and own the people who count the votes.
