99.999% of bums are either addicts or insane or both.

These are people whose own family and friends will not allow them to live under their roofs.

Anyone on this forum would probably open his home to a friend who lost a job and a place to stay, and needed a little time to get things sorted.

If you live on the street it's generally because you have burned every bridge behind you, stolen from the people who love you, and broken a lot of well-meaning people's hearts.

And you're really not sorry, you just wish you could have used and milked everyone a little longer.

And...so what?

It’s not a crime to be poor. Or improvident. Or rude. Sure there are consequences; living on the street is far worse for the homeless than it is for you or me.

If you want to criminalize homelessness, how do you propose to enforce it?

I live in Southern California in an area where many are homeless. I just can’t muster the hardness of the heart that you have.

Some people have NO family. They are truly on their own and living on their last energies of life.

Some businesses have installed locks on all their toilet rooms because of the homeless. That creates another problem.

Once homeless, how do you get out of it? Nobody wants you.

I haven’t done a study on the lives of the homeless, so I won’t make the claims that you have.

Have a wonderful weekend.
