Chris Wallace on Trump: ““I Don’t Think He Particularly Likes Tough Questions....
Fox News Radio ^ | August 13, 2015 | Kilmeade and Friends

Posted on 08/13/2015 3:00:00 PM PDT by Mozilla

Chris Wallace, anchor of Fox News Sunday, spoke with Kilmeade & Friends about his debate questions to Donald Trump. Wallace also weighed in on the use of phone interviews on Sunday shows.

Wallace’s reaction to Trumps criticism of his debate questions:

“I don’t think he particularly likes tough questions…they were tough questions and I don’t apologize for anything I asked.”

On the bankruptcy question:

“You can’t ask him about his voting record, you can’t ask him about his record as governor of a state because all he has is his business record. It’s a little unusual he was involved in four bankruptcies where people lost billions of dollars and thousands of jobs…. It would be like having Mitt Romney and not asking him about Bain Capital.”

Wallace on those who don’t take Trump seriously:

“I take Trump absolutely seriously and all these people who think this is just a summer fling and he is just going to go away… republicans who are saying that are dopes.”

Wallace on Trump doing phoners & on the reports that Trump might be snubbing his show after the debate:

“The idea you would do a phoner with a presidential candidate where they have all the control and you have none, where you can’t see them and they may have talking points in from of them…we are not a call in radio show, we are a Sunday talk show and he is a presidential candidate, you do an interview on camera. As far as Trump doing Chuck Todd and not me, we invited him, they said he wasn’t available, I guess he was available to someone else, we’ll survive.”

Try to imagine Team Kelly asking similar questions of Hillary Clinton, or any Democrat candidate for that matter. This would NEVER happen.

Chris, if you can’t grasp that a question about a spat that took place nine years ago, is out of place at a debate, you’re in the wrong line of work.

I Don’t Apologize For Anything I Asked

****************
He and others on the Fox News network apparently believe they were 100% right in their questioning and that the viewers’ opinions to the contrary were 100% wrong. That attitude of superiority, infallibility, and arrogance is not a formula for success in anything. Fox is set for a serious fall.

Trump doesn’t like stupid questions. And that’s what most of them were. We’re more interested in national security, securing the borders, preventing ISIS from doing their jihad bs - those questions were more about social issues ...

It would be like having Mitt Romney and not asking him about Bain Capital.
I'll admit not paying close attention, but was Romney basically accused, during a debate, of being a "bad businessman" for the bankruptcies he oversaw from Bain?

The media sees it's role as "picking winners and losers".

And they feel compelled to push Trump into the "Loser" category because want Hillary and Yeb to be in the "Winner" category.

Trump isn't going quietly and the pundits are kind of pissed.

You know what they say when you find yourself in a hole? Stop digging. But he is digging it deeper for himself and Fox.

Their sponsors are closely watching the ratings. Just sayin...

You asked no "tough questions" Chris and that thing called a debate, resembled your attempt at mud wrestling - without the mud!

Don Rickles perfected that schtick at a Dean Martin Roast and he was at least Funny! You, Chris, we're not.

Maybe Mr Trump is frustrated at the lack of questions related to important policy decisions.

Instead, all candidates get gotcha questions from FOX, just like every other alphabet media.

I expected much better from FOX.

I agree. Why even bring it up now?

He and Megan look like two people who can’t understand the basics of journalism.
