Our family doesn’t contribute either. Looks like they have restaurants involved in the Houston area and they are contributing 5 percent to food banks. It’s simply unbelievable. Interesting that they talk endlessly on the same broadcast about the rampant hunger and then the problems associated with rampant obesity. Talking out of both sides of their mouth, reminds me of the global warming issue.

it would probably be better for us all to just donate a sack of groceries to the struggling hard working family down the street, or the old lady who doesn’t have much....

My own feeling is that it's a big scam. There is now an element of society who use these food banks in place of seeking a job and paying for food themselves.

Food is cheaper now than it was when I was growing up fifty-sixty years ago. Nobody I knew frequented food banks. I never heard of the term until about thirty years ago.
