Is it still a crime if they don’t report it?
Ya...who woulda seen that coming....?
and the thumb drive?
I’m pretty sure that if you tipped off drug dealers several months in advance that a raid was going to be made on their operation, you wouldn’t find much when you arrived.
This makes Nixon’s tape gap look like a grain of sand on a beach. Where are Woodward and Berstein?
Servers have multiple redundancies, especially those run by companies. So somewhere there is copies.
Why is this not obstruction?
In other words, either “The” server was NOT handed over, or this is admission of destruction of evidence and obstruction of justice.
She is going to get away with it. And the cry on TV about how she is persecuted..
private data center in New Jersey

Was this private business authorized to store or handle Top Secret information?
This is just so, so Hillary.
OTOH, it will be interesting to see (if we humble peasants are so allowed) if the FBI will tell us just how that server was “scrubbed” of it’s data. As we all know, deleting data doesn’t delete data (thanks for small favors, Bill Gates).
So what??? If the people involved in these crimes are not held accountable by the “authorities”...so what???

You are correct. Where are the backups stored? For purposes of disaster protection, they are usually kept off-site. So where are they?
A caller to Rush explained how it’s done -
with a RAID, you delete the data you don’t want on the drive,
swap out one of the redundant drives with a clean one,
wait for the sync, then swap out all the others one by one.
The appearance is that all the data is intact on the array,
but the deleted data never exists on the clean drives.
Hillary’s people are trying to pass the line that they were not marked Top Secret when she saw them, that is a stupid comment.
No new communication would feature a clearance level unless it was a continuing conversation about a very old subject. She broke the law and was doing government business on non government servers which is how she wiped tens of thousands of emails.
The security of government communication matters.
