United States Senator and Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz visited Arkansas on August 12th 2015. Hundreds of activist from across the state cheered as Senator Cruz talked about the conservative agenda he would implement on his 1st day as President of the United States.

Ted Cruz has fought harder for conservative values than any of the other candidates running for office. Cruz led the effort to shutdown the corrupt Washington D.C. Government over Obamacare and Obama's Executive Order Amnesty. Cruz recently tried to add defunding of Planned Parenthood to a highway funding bill, giving the defunding effort a much better chance. Cruz also made public the attempt by GOP leadership to fund the crony capitalist Import Export Bank.

Cruz will clean up in the south, but I’m worried about the swing states, which we so badly need to win. It’s great that he can solidify the conservative, southern base. I think Romney carried the south too, but, lost Florida, Virginia and Ohio.

Ted Cruz accomplished more good for America as Texas Solicitor General when he won the Medellín v. Texas in the Supreme court than the entire presidential field combined. More even than the entirety of congress has done in the past decade.

A Cruz/Carson ticket would be hard to beat.

While I don’t think Carson is anywhere near ready for executive office he is very well liked and can be a very effective PR tool. Cruz can easily handle the rest of the job.

I agree - I think a Cruz/Carson ticket would be great, especially after hearing Carson speak about the real issues in the black community, and how they’re being used by the dems.

I really like Ben Carson, but, when he speaks, he puts me to sleep. He did well at the debate because everyone remembered his closing speech. It was epic! But, I’ve tried to listen to him after that, and I want him to talk faster. I know he is low key, but, it’s too much for me. I can actually envision him as Surgeon General or Secretary of HHS.

School choice and guns are good messages for the black community. Carson is weak on guns but there are other blacks out speaking on them. School choice is a good strong issue for him. After all, there is a Benjamin Carson academe in Detroit. (Charter school)

I myself, a rural white guy have had some surprisingly civil conversations with members of the black lives matter tribe about school choice. They ask what have republicans done for blacks and I point to school choice and the amazing success of charter schools in Detroit.

Dr. Carson was so honest and well spoken last night on Kelly File (I didn’t want to watch her again, but wanted to hear Dr. Carson). He spoke of the number of babies being born out of wedlock and how the dems use the blacks and keep them in poverty and voting dem for handouts. It was very good.

A case that we should have heard of before. During this time, GOP leadership was trying to pass an amnesty with the help of activist groups funded by George Soros. Trump's money and stance that he has now against illegal immigration would have been real handy back then.

He was absolutely brilliant in those clips they had of him walking around Harlem. If that’s the way he’s talking in Iowa then he is going to win Iowa.

I’m not for him because of his lack of campaign and foreign policy experience, but he might be the best there is on domestic social policy issues.

I think Cruz—unlike Romney—will carry many more states because most Conservative voters see a younger version of Ronald Reagan in him.

Cruz really hurt himself with that TPA vote. Yes, he is a very strong conservative, however, we need to pull other voters from other demographics to overcome the fraudulent voting that the DEMs carry out.

At a glance it appears to be a basic case of trying to stop the execution of a foreign national but it was really a much wider ruling on State and national sovereignty.

Medellín v. Texas, 552 U.S. 491 (2008), is a United States Supreme Court decision that held that even if an international treaty may constitute an international commitment, it is not binding domestic law unless Congress has enacted statutes implementing it or unless the treaty itself is "self-executing." Also, the Court held that decisions of the International Court of Justice are not binding domestic law and that, without authority from the United States Congress or the Constitution, the President of the United States lacks the power to enforce international treaties or decisions of the International Court of Justice.

These days Cruz is encouraging states to use the precedent for imposing their own sanctions on Iran. My state of Michigan passed the Iran economic sanctions act in 2013.

But I think in the end, Conservatives will turn to Cruz because anyone who's seen him speak in public notes his calm and very smart demeanor--and he speaks literally "off the cuff" (unlike the current resident of the White House). And his youth will serve him VERY well, especially since given his youth, a lot of people will be asking questions on whether HIllary Clinton's age (she'll turn 69 just before Election Day 2016!) will become a hindrance against her.

Cruz protesters doused with water outside Cache restaurant

small group of protesters picketing Ted Cruz outside a downtown Little Rock restaurant Tuesday night were doused with water by the business’ head chef and owner.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, James Bozeman told officers he and friends were protesting outside Cache, 425 President Clinton Ave., while Cruz and Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson were inside.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette associate features editor Emily Van Zandt, who happened to be in the restaurant at the time with a group of reporters from the newspaper, said Cache executive chef and owner Payne Harding dumped the water from a champagne bucket while wearing his chef jacket bearing his name.
