Grassroots activists are pushing their way through spaces and forcing conversation. That makes us all a little tense but that’s the whole point, isn’t it?
On Saturday, Black Lives Matter organizers Marissa Johnson and Mara Willaford got on stage and took the microphone away from from presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders to remind him that the Black Lives Matter movement is the grassroots movement of the 2016 race. As a black woman, a part of me felt like I should have stood up and cheered when I watched the video, but I also felt downright uncomfortable. I cringed at the sight of women who look like me storming a stage and making themselves heard. I couldn’t put my finger on why.
The movement has been vocal in its calls for 2016 presidential candidates to address this new civil rights movement. It was the second time that Sanders had been upstaged by members of Black Lives Matter. At both events it was black women who grabbed the microphone, proving their own agency by making their voices heard....

The author couldn’t figure out why the stage takeover scene made her squirm. How about because it was bad manners, to steal someone’s platform after they had done the work of earning it. This is close to the attitude that rationalizes spray painting graffiti and then calling it ‘art’. If you have to steal and deface someone’s property to make then see your art, vs showing work in a gallery, then you are a vandal and a clown, not an artist.

Be warned the language is reprehensible, so typical of liberals. My main takeaway is the left's circular firing squad can be exploited to guarantee a Conservative sweep in 2016. His overall presentation is a few notches beyond that of Howard Beale. Look and listen to the liberal and laugh.
Yet Sanders has pulled ahead on Clinton in at least one poll.
Perhaps white Dems are getting tired of the constant race baiting and crime in THEIR neighborhoods...and Obama..?

How about the rudeness to the hundreds or thousands of people who went out of their way, and may have spent significant funds, to go there and hear Mr Sanders? The "activists" do not care, and will ruin it all so they "can be heard", as if they are not allowed to talk in other ways, or hold their own events. Disgusting, callous, and rude.
BLM is a direct offshoot of the illegal alien problem as blacks, especially young blacks(I refuse to use the word disenfranchised—too elitist) are being waylaid in the jobs market. If the black urban man had employment, Freddie Gray, Lincoln etc.. would be forgotten.
I don’t much care for these activist types. Their one trick is to be rude and obnoxious, hoping that some one will give them what the want. The problem is, when they find a patsy the bat signal goes up and the activists swarm in and the next thing you know they’re like the tribbles on Star Trek. This will not end well for the socialist from the People’s Republic of Vermont.

If this was the ONLY thing I knew about Mr Sanders I would never vote for him for ANY position. Grow a set man!

Sanders did the smart thing and just walked away. People could see the movement was hurting their party.
But they’ll never do it to Hillary.
