ease him out in 6 months.

Yes, ease Wilson out in 6 months for bending to PC and firing him. I certainly would.

Yes, ease Will Johnson out in 6 months for bending to PC and firing him. I certainly would.

I have not seen video from inside the building.
It smells that they have not released that.
Apparently it does not exonerate the officer.
Guess they don’t circle the wagons for probationary employees.

I chased a bad guy off one time with a firearm. An officer showed and asked if my property was worth someone’s life. I said that was something the bad guy ought to think about. He asked what about my life. I told him I believed if someone could take property from me at will I was no more than a slave and we supposedly fought a war over that. I do not believe the civil war was solely or even primarily over that but I do believe it is better to be dead than to live under tyranny.

Apparently they wanted him to wait for backup and not try to handle the situation by himself? Probably basic stuff he should have learned in police academy.

Great question, where is the internal video? They have $ and some nice things in there.

Video of the lot but nothing in the showroom area. They were probably going for the tools/parts too.

That’s seems odd no video after they entered the business.

I think the training officer was seconds behind him going in.

There have been U.S. Soldiers court martialed for a helluva lot less than what street cops do on a daily basis.

Shoot an unarmed Iraqi or Afghan?

Probably a court martial. Maybe even jail.

A cop kills some dude because he's "non-compliant?"

You get "suspended" or fired at the worst.

Have Americans cops always been like this? It seems for every 1 story I read about a cop doing something good, there are dozens about a cop killing, brutalizing, harassing, or threatening somebody over nothing.

What I want know is WHY was a rookie (regardless of age) out there alone.
Where was his training officer?

Motive was steal the Mustang. Break into the showroom to get the keys? Then drive away with a huge busted front window? Why not pop a side window? SUV had to be stolen or had another occupant.

Brazen but dead.

Where was his training officer?

Watch the video. From my perspective 2 cops are running across the parking lot, what appears to be the training officer drops something, delaying him a few quick seconds as the recruit now almost to the door. The recruit enters first and the shooting immediately followed with FTO entering about 2 or 3 seconds later. Just my take on it.

If this is correct, the recruit knew FTO was about 30 feet behind him when he entered the building. Policy violation. I'd bet there is more to this.

FNC ran clips of the perp stomping on windshields in the dealership where he was shot.

So why was he busting the Mustangs window?

There has to be some missing video. 30 and 31 are incorrect apparently.

Btw, the cop wasn’t fired for the shoot, he was fired by breaking policy when he entered the dealership alone. My take anyway.

What was the real story here?

I know several policemen, troopers, etc. - you wouldn't want to go on THEIR property and start walking off with things. Ask him that question...

Spot on. If you cannot defend it, you don’t own it.

This applies to cars, wallets, purses and even your very body.

If you cannot defend it, you don’t own it
