JERSEY CITY – Bail was set at $500,000 cash only today for a Bayonne man charged with attempting to murder his estranged wife by shooting her eight times in her Jersey City home yesterday after learning she filed for divorce, officials said. ..... Harrison is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of hollow-point bullets and additional weapons offenses related to a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun, including possession of a firearm by a felon, the criminal complaint says.

Hollow point ammunition is illegal in New Jersey?Yes, but so (in effect) is any self-defense other than bare handed. Since almost no one unconnected can obtain a carry permit (the requirement for which is a clear infringement upon our rights) and knives, clubs, and defensive sprays are mostly banned, better learn that karate stuff!
