Some dummies wear head sets all the time speak as if their brains have been fried. They cant concentrate on anything for longer than a few seconds.
#5 is rather a stretch.
The rest of them are fair.
In the photo, morons hugging in a traffic lane. Darwin Award winners earning their award. I’m glad their genes will leave the pool.
Two days ago a car jounced over the curb striking a friend on the sidewalk and breaking his leg in three places. This necessitated a hospital stay and surgery. I don’t know how it has come out, but he’s still in the hospital on morphine.
The driver, a twenty-seven year old white male, was arrested. Two lives have been changed forever so the driver could text LOL.
25 years ago I had one communications bill, a land line which cost about 30 bucks per month. That was it. I didn't need cable because the networks were better. But even cable was only 30 - 40 bucks and when it started out it was commercial free.
Fast forward to today.
$420/mo for communications!
Have salaries keep pace with technology? What are we doing here?
all of human history before the 1990s existed without cell phones.
all of human history before the 1800s existed without electricity
all of human history before the 1700s existed without industrial production
So what?
Should we go back to caves?
Use my cars blue tooth for calls. Before that answered with speaker phone and pulled over to dial (before Siri). But texting while driving is just wrong. The guy who plowed into my new explorer that was stopped at a light was probably texting. My wife spent the night in the hospital. The cop refused to question the guy about whether he was texting once he determined he was sober. I showed up and demanded the cop check the guy for booze. I almost got arrested. Later the cop showed up at the hospital and was nice but said the guy was sober but otherwise distracted.
Yeah, like #4.
Good thing this wasn’t too interesting - I put my phone down just in time!
B/S.
“1.Cell phones have become the number one distraction to humans in all segments of society.”
Replacing Boobs? I don’t think so.
“2 - Cell phone use is now a major cause of driving fatalities”
Replacing drunk wetbacks? I don’t think so.
“3 - Cell phones have destroyed human person-to-person communication”
Redundant, no more than the “land line” did? I don’t think so.
“4 - Cell phones emit dangerous EMF waves and cause cancer “
Any proof of that? I don’t think so.
“5 - Cell phones have made many other electronics practically obsolete- destroyed buyers choice”
That one is just too stupid.
“6 - Smart cell phones provide platform for government to track everything you do “
Like they couldn’t without them?
“7 - Cell phones have provided a portable instant access to the deep matrix of lies “
No more than any other form of communication.
The article is bunk but thanks for the post. Bernie Suarez
is just another person who got mad at T-Mobile.
I’ll tell you one thing; The number, severity and number of cars involved in accidents encountered in mt daily commute has gone up since the cell phone came along. In 1982 when I started there was a fender bender or sometimes 2, usually on 495. Now we get totaled cars, flipped cars, multi cars (a LOT of them) every damn day.
How about this - the modern smartphone or tablet using microchips and the internet protocol is the single greatest invention in the history of mankind, thus far. It affects the culture, industry, communication and education. It shrinks the globe to the size of Delaware. It’s not even debatable.
5 - Cell phones have made many other electronics practically obsolete- destroyed buyers choice
Good grief. Imagine the horror when the first company put a table top radio and Gramophone in the same cabinet! And then someone came along and added a television receiver! Does this writer want to go back to candlestick telephones before the days of direct-dial? Let the operator choose your mortician!
I see three fools in that picture.
Live and let live.
Using this logic we need to give up our automobiles. They too were revolutionary. Look at the deaths that result from their use.
With benefits come risks. That’s life.
If they can track your text, they should not have a problem getting Hilary’s text and e-mails right?
