Trump doesn’t do that well in that poll

He does good and bad, 2nd place in “who won” and 2nd place in “who lost”.

Polls are all over the place, some things can be agreed on, Carly, Cruz, said some good things. Otherwise, perceptions are pretty broad.

I really like Ben Carson - as a person, but not as a president. He’s a wonderful man and could do well as HHS Secretary, but isn’t ready for prime time yet. This country is in too much of a mess for someone who hasn’t had political or business experience. His closing statement was epic and I loved it!!!

conservatives in this country are pissed off. Trump sees and feels it and he articulates it. I think Cruz gets it but otherwise the rest of the group do not feel the seething rage.

That is the exact point I've been trying to get across to doubtful conservatives since Trump entered the race.

He began on day one by talking about how illegal aliens are damaging our country. He talked about how China's eating our economic lunch. He talked about how spineless and untrustworthy our elected reps in Washington are.

He's right on all points, and was rewarded with an instant level of support like no one's seen in decades.

You could sit and analyze Trump's meteoric rise in the polls all night, but it really comes down to just a few simple basics. Americans' hearts are burning in wait, for a true champion to lead us out of the disaster of the last seven years. Someone who's unafraid to call a spade a spade, and who spits on the very notion of political correctness. Someone who's a proven winner and a Boss who gets results.

Trump looks for all the world like the sort of man who fits that description, so is it any wonder he's gained the support he has?

"The GOP race is full of excitement. There’s one problem: On most issues, from women’s health to national security, the party is far out of step with the general electorate."

Consider the source: Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post. You're not likely to find a more rabid liberal than him.

Some of my best friends are neurosurgeons.

Petulant is a good word. Thin skinned....

Someone please tell me again. When was it that Trump became a Conservative?
