Donald Trump: F (if you hate Trump)/A (if you love Trump)/F (if youre indifferent). Poll frontrunner Donald Trump clearly took the brunt of the heat during the evening. But the very fact that the moderators seemed so pleased to bruise him combined with the punch-throwing at Trump by other candidates forestalled what could have been a serious campaign to take him out of the running.

Scott Walker: C. Governor Walker didnt do poorly, but he didnt do well. He was simply there. No big answers, no big moments. On immigration, he gave the right answer on his positional switch: I said I actually listened to the American people. And I think people across America want a leader who’s actually going -- snip --
Ted Cruz: A. Cruz was easily the most consistently conservative candidate on the stage. Over and over again, he gave pointed, substantive answers. Cruz’s biggest moment came when he said that as commander-in-chief, he’d make it clear, “if you join ISIS, if you wage jihad on America, you are signing your death warrant.” In his final statement, Cruz turned not to bragging about his record a boring answer from a lot of boring candidates but to what he would actually do on his first day in office. His key line came when he blasted the Republican establishment:
We got a Republican House, we’ve got a Republican Senate, and we don’t have leaders who honor their commitments. I will always tell the truth and do what I said I would do.
Cruzs hope is to capture any collapse in support from Trump, while showing viewers over and over again that he is an intelligent, professional candidate, not merely a fireworks-creating ballbuster. He achieved that tonight, especially given the fireworks surrounding him.

Ted Cruz is the man we need at the next President.
“as” the next president.
Breitbart joins the ever growing enemies list. LOL
I could fix Donald Trump but General Honore needs to agree to be his campaign manager.
I agree that we need Cruz. BUT, if he doesn’t get the nod, I’m hoping Trump does. I’ll vote for a Trump/Cruz ticket. If Cruz gets the nod, I’ll trust his judgement for Veep, even if it turns out to be a Walker or Rubio pick. Outside those options, it’ll be straight 3rd party for me! No way in hell I’ll vote for another GOPe RINO jackboot!
I’m like Cruz/Fiorina.
If you do this, it takes the womyn/latino issue away from Hillary which means there is only her record to run on.
I will write-in Cruz regardless, FWIW.
I thought of the perfect answer (day late) for the 3rd party pledge. Trump should have said, “Why would I hand over my only leverage this early in the game, I’m not John Kerry”.
Shapiro’s comments about Trump were childish and incoherent. He is more interested in keep his job after getting booted elsewhere than telling the Truth. The Drudge poll wasn’t rigged it was and always is one that shows what conservatives really think. Shapiro can make believe that means nothing in light of his oh so sagacious opinion; but he is very wrong.
“I will write-in Cruz regardless, FWIW.”
You obviously understand that our country is in deep dodo and that we are being ruled by charlatans, liars and worse and what we need if we are to be extracted from this mess.
How can the author give an F to Trump, when Trump is headlining most of the media today?
It shows that the author likely has a preconceived bias against Trump; thus, he would score Trump low regardless of Trump’s performance.
Yes, I’ll take that combo as well. No one would be able to out debate them and, as I’m unsure just how conservative Fiorina is, it would possibly help broaden the ticket’s appeal without too much harm. I do think Trump hurt himself last night but that was going to happen sooner or later. But right now, it’s nice to have a bomb thrower the media has yet to control! Ha! Ha!
That’s one good thing that came out of last nights debates... we’re hearing the name of Ted Cruz more and more. I pray that continues.
Probably not a bad idea!
I would be very happy with a Cruz/Fiorina ticket! My fiancée said this morning, “I like Ted Cruz, but he seems “preachy” to me.” I responded, “Ted Cruz is the only candidate who’s a true constitutional conservative and he and Mike Lee are the only two constitutional conservatives in the Senate. He seems preachy because he has an uncompromising set of core beliefs about which he’s passionate, something we haven’t seen in a presidential candidate in a long time...”
That’s smart because that way whatever the majority decides you’ll have acquiesced to it without being responsible for it.
Question for you both:
Prior to 4 months ago, name ONE thing that Donald Trump has done that would establish that he has sincerely held conservative beliefs?
Fiorina is the real winner though. She will jump ahead of Paul and Christie, maybe even break into the top 5.
How did your fiancee respond?
