Henry Hub spot for natural gas is under $3.00/MCF, so you are getting diddled by suppliers or taxes or both.

You still haven't explained how privately owned and financed oil and gas becomes "ours" or why you or anyone else should dictate how private property can be sold. A simplistic retail delivered price of gas means nothing. It's just like looking at retail gasoline prices and ignoring taxes and inflation.
Historical Natural Gas Prices - Natural Gas Price History Chart
Ohio electric rates are going to skyrocket no matter how cheap oil/gas/coal become. Obamas end game is to crush the middle class especially the non welfare wealth creating part. he especially depises carbon fuels. But I'm sure Obamassiah will have no problems with confiscation of or restricting the private wealth created by the fracking boom in support of your agenda.

I gave you an exhaustive history from my state of prices delivered to my door going back nearly 50 years and you want to change the argument. You go back 7 years and call it historical context, lol. Retail prices, yeah that’s what most of us are concerned about not what the price of tea is in F’g China. So you give me some fake trader graph refuting the government numbers and start talking taxes and inflation and you know why it is a fake graph. Look at the ‘08 number (peak price) that correlates exactly with the government graph I gave you and none of the other numbers are even close, less then half of the real numbers. And seniors don’t even get a cost of living increase for 2016 for ss. Obama said there is no inflation, didn’t you know, lol. And I remember 18% home loans back in the late 70’s/early 80’s, so I don’t buy your numbers regardless.

AS far as your argument about who owns gas and oil. There are numerous American interest at stake here, national defense being top dog. I don’t expect America’s energy resources to be depleted any more than I expect some company selling centrifuges to Iran or military jet engines to China. There is one company talking about building turbines in China for power generation, If memory serves me correct this is a derivative of our frigate engines. If you think there will never be a war inside our country, you better hope so. As one freeper said, we’re doing fine without manufacturing.

Yes Joe, Diddled by suppliers sounds about right. I wish I had some hard numbers when California converted their power plants to natural gas and went Green. I strongly suspect we in the Midwest are still paying for that.

So the amount of taxes does not matter? Did you not knownthat one reason retail rates go up is that taxes go up? Did you also notice that delivery charges are high? My Ohio gas bill is 45 with no usage. That is why you have to look at a base number

You still haven’t answered as to how you come to own priivately held oil and gas resources. Or why you should be able to prevent them from being sold to whoever the private owner wishes to sell them too.

You won’t even explain how coal prices dropped so low ( or do you think cal is expensive too?) despite huge amounts of exports. Or do you favor keeping coal mine owners from selling coal to China?

Sorry about you not getting your COL adjustment for SS. I’m sure if we allow a few more immigrants in and raise taxes you can get some more government moolah. Maybe Obammy will give you a raise after he confiscates oil in gas in the name of the national interest.

Beside more SS, lower electric and gas prices, is there any other national interests your pocket book needs help with?

The difference between the “fake trade numbers” and you retail prices are taxes, delivery charges, and government mandates. If you have a problem with those expense complain to your government and quit trying to confiscate private wealth. Hey are Saudi Arabia and Venezulea both have cheap gas prices. Maybe they are your role models?
