“Yes, building a 1,933-mile-long wall, through rugged terrain and over land held by lots of private owners, would be absurdly impractical and expensive.”

Take 100% of tax payer funding from Planned Parenthood and put it on the wall.

If that’s not enough, take funding from Obamacare.

if that’s not enough, take it out of the paycheck of elected reps including the Dicktater, Obama.

America needs the wall.

America does not need any of that other sh*t.

over land held by lots of private owners

People own land that straddles the border?

If net migration has gone to zero it is because Zero has managed to make even a welfare sinecure in the USA look like something uninspiring to Mexicans.

That picture will change again once the economy can stop drinking the poison Kool-Aid.

People who don’t live along the border have no concept of how desolate it is. Thousands of miles of wall would simply be climbed, tunneled, or destroyed in the deserted areas. A wall that cannot be manned is useless. If we had the manpower to man such a wall it would be unnecessary. If we had the political will to man the entire border, we would have the will to employ cheaper, simpler means of keeping illegals out.

The way to stop illegals is to remove the incentives to be here. Get rid of the welfare and actually enforce laws against illegals and those who employ them. Do those two things and you won’t need a wall.

Once Trump has cancelled NAFTA by executive order as he says he will do, he can slap a 2% tariff on all goods from Mexico to pay for it. And seize the assets of anyone caught in the country illegally (those who come forward voluntarily can have 90 days to sell their assets before they self-deport). Problem solved.
