I think Trump’s response to this is that America was prosperous under the Clinton years. However, he seems to not understand that it was the Republicans in Congress, and specifically, Newt that pulled him to the center, kicking and screaming, that worked.
Reagan said at the time Reaganomics wouldn’t see it’s full effect until after he was out of office. And sure enough all the policies he put in place and the changes he made resulted in the Roaring 90s. Even bush couldn’t stop it with his no new taxes fiasco. But Bill managed to totally hose before he left office.
Dotcom bubble anyone?
In other words, he is simply a crony. He is not a principled conservative.
