President Obama argues that his policies will result in cleaner air and will mitigate the effects of climate change, but unintended consequences of the administrations environmental agenda seem all but certain possibly even including higher mortality rates across the country, according to at least one scholar.
Key pieces of Mr. Obamas environmental plan, including proposals to increase ozone standards, limit carbon emissions from power plants and continue mandating more ethanol in U.S. gasoline supplies, will bring with them serious side effects in the coming months and years, critics and some analysts say.
Those effects could include higher electricity rates and the loss of jobs in the manufacturing and energy sectors. And by continuing to push the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) which began during former President George W. Bushs administration and requires that ethanol be blended into gasoline despite serious questions about its effectiveness and viability, some analysts contend the administration is putting Americans health at risk.

“Sue, dont comply and then when the turd is out of office change it.”
The problem is, once the machinery gets going, it’s very hard to stop. Look at Obamacare. And power plants have a 30-50+ year lifetime, and take several years to build.
What CEO is going to make a very large investment in a technology that will never be more that four years away from the next Obama? And the opposite is also true. What will we do for the poor, hapless farmers who invested (stupidly) in ethanol?
And of course, the “farmers” didn’t invest in ethanol, only the well-connected did.
What he hasn’t helped to build, he’s going to tear down.
Can probably find a market for their body parts too.
But seriously - if people were smarter they could see how this impacts their wallets and vote against this crap. Here in Washington state they just hiked the gas tax by another 7 cents. But of course most people will blame the evil oil companies for the increase at the pump.
Just the state tax is now 62.9 cents per gallon!
Plus 18.4 cents federal, so 81.3 cents per gallon. At $3.10 a gallon, that’s about 26% tax. And of course you pay that with after-taxed money.
That would be an interesting one for a “man on the street” type thing. Have a guy at the pump with a mike. Ask people with older rundown cars buying $5 of gas at a time.
“So what do you think about the idea of paying taxes for gas on the kind of car you drive? A fancy, expensive car the gas tax is $25 percent? For every 75 cents of gas they have to pay 25 cents tax? And for normal cars, like yours, say a 5 or 10 percent tax? (5 or 10 cents out of every dollar).
Then tell them - “Well, you might find it interesting that you just paid a 26% tax. Out of that five dollars, only $3.70 cents of gas went into your tank.”
Oh crap, I read my article wrong - state and fed taxes in WA combine to 62.9 cents per gallon.
They won’t care. I’ve come to the conclusion that most leftists have no empathy, no soul. They are barely human. That may sound harsh but their actions prove it. To them, the more poor & elderly that die, the better.
Why Republicans don't wrap this stuff around Obama's neck and the necks of every elitist 'rat politician who prattles about their great love and support for the Middle Class is beyond me - but then I've pretty much given up on trying to figure out why Republicans do most of what they do or don't do....
Yep, the dimrats are burning the place down and the repubs are giving them the matches.
Yes, that poster is as cynical as i am, lol. I’m just basing my opinion on the behavior and viewpoints of many leftists that I have observed. Especially the way many leftists are vehemently defending Planned Parenthood and their selling of baby parts.
This clown owns all the world records for bad ideas.
