Ted Cruz Says Climate Change Fears Falsified by Scientists and Politiians
Time ^ | 8/2/2015 | Phil Elliot

Sen. Ted Cruz on Sunday said facts don’t support climate change, in a speech that described the notion as a front for power-hungry politicians who want to control Americans’ lives.

During an appearance before some of the most influential conservative donors in the country, the Texas Republican said there is no factual basis for scientists’ research that shows the planet is changing. The 2016 White House hopeful said none of the research is worth the paper it is printed on.

“If you look at satellite data for the last 18 years, there’s been zero recorded warming,” Cruz said in California’s Orange County. “The satellite says it ain’t happening.”

Instead, Cruz said, government researchers are reverse engineering data sets to falsify changes in the climate. “They’re cooking the books. They’re actually adjusting the numbers,” Cruz said. “Enron used to do their books the same way.”

Cruz said scientists four decades ago were studying “global cooling, a global ice age was coming,” and they were as wrong as those who now say the earth is warming.

“Senator, you’re not saying global warming isn’t real?” interrupted his interviewer, Politico’s Mike Allen.

“I’m saying that data and facts don’t support it,” Cruz said to applause from 450 donors to the political network organized by billionaires...(Kochs)

“Full on denial?” Allen replied, making sure he was understanding the first-term Senator.

Cruz was ready with his retort. “It is always disturbing to hear science use the language of theology. Deniers. Heretics. That’s not what sicence is supposed to be about. Science should follow the facts.”

Cruz then said the notion is being used to control the economy and energy industry in the hopes of combating of climate change. “To any power-greedy politician, this is the perfect theory. It can never, ever, ever be disproven,” Cruz said.

We know from history, that a volcanic eruption can actually cause global cooling because of all the pollution it puts in the air. We are being told to believe that mankind is causing global warming because of all the pollutants we are putting in the air. That simply doesn’t make sense. I would think that the more you put in the atmosphere, the cooler it gets. However, if you can possibly remove enough “pollution” the climate would get warmer. It just seems that the global elites have their reasoning ass backwards.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

I’d love to see Ted Cruz make this his specialty. He’s so brilliant and one of the very best litigators in DC. He would have libs and media going nuts.

It’s critical to limit Cruz. He’s the only real threat, the only non-sideshow, the only one who can eviscerate Hillary on all topics and spheres in a debate.

Very well done.

Every day that goes by I am more and more convinced that Cruz is the guy for Trump’s Verp slot. As opposed to Yebbie and some of the others who push that AGW hocum.

The more I see of Cruz the more I like him.

He is as smart as William F. Buckley and more conservative.

"I would think that the more you put in the atmosphere, the cooler it gets."

Not true, it depends on what you are putting into the atmosphere. Google Venus, but going from .03% CO2 to .04% CO2 is not a big deal and the plants like it.

Nobody terrifies the democrats more.

Is Ted Cruz the most dangerous man on the American right?

but tonight we begin with a man who i believe is the most dangerous politician on the american right. in october 2007 i sat in the media gallery of the united states supreme court and watched the solicitor general of texas argue on behalf of the state that he should have the ability to put to death a mexican national, jose, who had been convicted of raping and murdering two teenage girls in houston. he won that argument and he was executed by texas on august 5th , 2008 , despite the objections of the united nations and the international court of justice . at the time, i had no idea who this man arguing on behalf of texas was. but all i could think was holy crap , this guy is good. it was one of his nine times arguing before the supreme court and he was witty, incredibly fast on his feet and clearly had a brilliant legal mind. it is to this day one of the most impressive displays i have ever seen before the court and i have had the good fortune to spend a lot of time there. so you can imagine my horror in 2012 when i tuned into the texas senate race. i hadn't been paying much attention to. and realized that lieutenant governor david dewhurst , the republican establishment candidate, was being prepared by a tea party candidate who was the same guy i saw kick ass in the supreme court in 2007 . i thought that night, night i made that connection, oh, this is trouble. and trouble that man has been. trouble in every direction. as he vies to be the singular voice of the right wing grassroots and as he has very quickly assumed a leadership role in movement. he's a man who combines the intellectual credentials and pedigree of barack obama , with the raw right wing populist appeal of sarah palin . his full name is rafael edward cruz .

Science, however, does not back up Cruz’s position. Geochemist James Lawrence Powell, an adviser to Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, reviewed peer-reviewed science journals and found that only two articles rejected climate change during 2013. His sample size: 10,885 articles.

This is the part I love about the Global Warming crowd, they review peer reviewed articles that were ALL USING FUDGED DATA to back up their Global Warming Belief System. Regardless of what the REAL DATA Says!

What I like about Cruz isn’t that he’s smarter... It’s that he embodies the dreams of my grandfather. Cruz “gets” the dream, the “shining city on the hill...” And he’s smart enough to go outside his own indoctrination to reclaim it.

I liked that except for the nonsense of thinking his intellect was comparable to Obama.

Obama is not stupid but he clearly is no genius either. I think Cruz may in fact be one.

Agreed but that's extremely high praise coming from a leftist like Hayes.

It is obvious Cruz is always the smartest guy in the room.

That goes for any room he walks into.
