During a normal check at Lamezia Terme, the rapper was found with $422,820 in U.S. cash, a police source told CNN. The maximum amount of cash that passengers traveling through Italy can carry without declaring it is

Perhaps they have video of the conversation that ensued when the cashed waved bye-bye to the Snoopster.
Entitled idiots making Americans look bad abroad.
Poor ol’ Snoop can’t catch a break in Europe.
Just a hint there Calvin, might be a good idea to hire someone, who’s not been smoking weed, to read the travel rules of foreign countries.

I’m not supposed to feel sorry for him, right??
lol
Sounds like he might have been trying to avoid those high taxes.
Sounds like straight up tax evasion. But it is hard to get many in Italy to work for anything other than cash.
Is Snoop on record for “taxing the rich”?
Nuttin’ wrong wit bein Ol’ skoo if da idee is dope, an there’e phat cash init, dog!
:)
So Mr Broadus was carrying over 4000 $100 dollar bills? The cash must have been in its own suitcase.
And he thought he wouldn’t get seached? What a dope.
I guess cash is more blingy than a credit card or bitcoin.
Now that's funny!
rite awn rite awn
This has TAX EVASION and MONEY LAUNDERING written all over it.
While I’m not a fan of Snoop Dogg, the fact that the state can steal money if you violate some arbitrary rule on how to transport your money is ridiculous.
He did not launder money and can likely prove that he did not get this money by dishonest means. His income is all legit, he sells music and gets royalties.
Just because bankrupt nations make rules that enable them to steal does not mean the victim (Snoop Dogg) is guilty.

Actually as far as rappers go he is a pretty stand up guy. He sponsored the ENTIRE league of PeeWee Football in East LA one year. I don’t like his music but there are definitely worse entertainers around
In the long run, Snoop will probably never play Italy again. You know, “Liberalism always generates the opposite of its stated intent.” (Jim Quinn)
The money that the Italian government took from him is a mere pittance to the money they would generate from his concerts.
So far as I know Snoop stays out of politics.
