Trump is among the very most hardcore candidates on immigration, and he’s serious about building a wall at the border. He’s the only one who is, that I’m aware of.
Ted Cruz is good on immigration control as well.
I’m very good with Donald Trump’s stand on illegal immigration.
In your mind he is. But reality is a different story.
None of them are “hardcore” on immigration, because they’d all legalize the bulk of the 30 million low-skill, taxpayer-dependent, Leftist-voting illegals here currently.
Cruz at least is better than most in not himself granting them citizenship, though I expect citizenship would be sure to follow.
Yes, a wall and a secure border would be nice. But the damage that our country’s electorate would never overcome would already be done.
Trump is all show.
Not true. He is middle of the road. Most of the candidates want to secure the border, including building a wall. Trump says to build the wall where it makes sense. Trump does not say what he would do with visa overstays who make up 40% of the lawbreakers here. Trump also will allow the "good ones" to stay and work here. That is amnesty.
Ted Cruz is good on immigration control as well.
Ted Cruz supports legalization without a path to citizenship (read amnesty) and increasing the number of guest workers.
Trump thinks Mexico is going to build the wall for us. I’d like to hear how he thinks he’s going to convince them to do something that is not in their best interests.
